Concert Orchestra (6th Period) |
● membership
is through completion of the Intermediate class
● private instruction is encouraged but not required
● competes annually at the Grade IV level at the District XII
Solo & Ensemble Festival
● often combines with Symphonic class for larger orchestral

Freshman Orchestra (7th Period) |
● membership is for freshmen
beginning their exposure to high school orchestra
● class is intended as a training program for more advanced
sections
● involves a “lab” component geared for students without private
instruction
● competes at the Grade III or IV level at the District XII Solo
& Ensemble Festival
