March 29, 2025 – Baltimore, MD
On March 29, sixty-five orchestra students and chaperones, including Doc McCormick and Assistant Principal Richard Deivert, embarked on an unforgettable trip to Baltimore. The day was filled with excitement and exploration, including a scenic harbor lunch cruise, tours of historic ships, dinner at the Joseph Myerhoff Symphony Hall followed by a private conversation with a Baltimore Symphony violist, and a thrilling live performance by the BSO while watching Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark.
A heartfelt thank you to our trip organizers Jen Lee and Claudia Peters, whose meticulous planning made every aspect of the trip truly outstanding. April 13-16, 2024 – Nashville, TN
Langley Orchestra went to the music city Nashville, TN on April 13-16, 2024!
The Langley Orchestra field trip to Nashville was a great success! We had an entire flight to the Langley Orchestra and wonderful volunteers and chaperones to make this happen! Dr. McCormick and Langley Orchestra wish to thank all of our amazing chaperones: Mitch Cheung, Michelle Garcia, Ashlye Goodner, Kristi Grgeta, Rafay Hassan, Farid Homayounmehr, Angie Kim, Donya Kolcio, Audra Krupp, Sue Park, Raj Rana, Slava Reshetnyak, Masami Smith, Stefanie Stayin, and Marci Thomas. An especially big thank you goes to orchestra parent Rafay Hassan who drove a trailer solo from Langley to Nashville and back again with all the cellos and basses, and most of the violins and violas.
Finally, our sincerest thanks to our wonderful trip coordinator Bonnie Myshrall, whose leadership, dedication, and tireless planning made the trip such a fabulous experience for everyone.

Highlights of this amazing trip include:
- Educational activities: Orchestra Clinics with Orchestra directors at local universities such as Vanderbilt University, and Tennessee State University; Songwriting workshops with a group recording of the new tune.

- Entertainment: Historic Nashville, Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry, General Jackson Showboat, Line dance
March 9-12, 2023 – New York, NY (Carnegie Hall)
In March 2023, 143 Langley Orchestra students traveled to New York City and had the privilege of performing at world-famous Carnegie Hall! Highlights of this unforgettable trip included:
- Performances by all 3 Orchestras (Concert, Symphonic, Philharmonic) in Director’s Choice’s Premier Performance Invitational
