Striking a Chord: Langley Orchestra Welcomes the Class of 2030 at Annual Potluck Picnic

On August 23rd, the Langley Orchestra kicked off the school year with the annual potluck picnic! The gathering was a great way to welcome the Class of 2030! Thank you to everyone who attended and brought dishes and desserts to share. Special thanks to LOS President Kanchana Marapana, the LOS Board of Directors, and our many volunteers for organizing this event.

As per tradition, each grade competed in the annual Flickin’ Chickens contest. It was a close match, but in the end, the Senior class secured victory and extended their win streak to three years!

Although the school year is just beginning, SRO and DHO auditions are right around the corner! For the students who are planning to audition, make sure to check out excerpts and scales in the “Students” tab of the Orchestra website. Happy practicing!
