“Fantasia Asia” Rehearsal Schedule

The first concert of the year, “Fantasia Asia,” will take place at 7pm on Tues, Oct 17. For this concert, students must wear the black Langley Orchestra polo shirt and black pants or skirts. Alternatively students (and families) are encouraged to wear traditional Asian attire! All students are required to attend concert-day rehearsals. The rehearsal schedule is:
3:00 Concert Orchestra (Freshman & Sophomores)
3:45 Symphonic Orchestra (Juniors & Seniors)
4:30 Free Pre-concert Chinese Dinner Begins (orchestra students only) (Cafeteria)*
6:00 Langley Hall reception**
6:30 Philharmonic
6:45 Students take their places
7:00 Concert begins
8:30 Concert ends (approximate)
*As a special treat to start off our orchestra season, the Langley Orchestra Society will be providing a FREE CHINESE DINNER to every orchestra student. The meal will feature both meat and vegetarian/vegan options, and will be catered by local McLean eatery China Express. Entrees will include General Tso’s Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Szechuan String Beans, Vegetable Lo Mein, Vegetable Fried
Rice, as well as White Rice and Fortune Cookies. Dinner will begin at 4:30 in the cafeteria and is available to orchestra students only.

**Please make plans to join us beginning at 6pm for a pre-concert Celebration of Asian Culture in Langley Hall featuring traditional foods, decor, music, and dance of various Asian cultures. Starting at 3:25 pm on concert day, Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be sold in Langley Hall. Sales will be CASH ONLY – $15 for a dozen glazed doughnuts or $2 for a single donut.
