Langley Orchestra

A big thank you to all of the students who showed up on December 1st, and a special thanks to LOS for providing us the gingerbread house making materials! Thank you to Tri-M President Cristina for organizing and making this event happen, as well as Social Media Manager Geoffrey for taking amazing pictures and Music Librarian Liann for the flyer in the previous post!

The competitors were graded in 4 categories: Aesthetics, Creativity, Engineering, and Workplace Neatness. In the end, 3 top houses were chosen and each of the group’s members were given a reward. The number 1 pick was built by a group made up of juniors and a sophomore, well done!

On November 14th, students auditioned amongst hundreds of candidates for the District XII Honors Orchestra. Congratulations to the following Langley orchestra students for being selected as the 2024 Langley’s DHO representatives! DHO students will participate in the District Orchestra Event and Concert on Friday-Saturday January 12-13, 2024 hosted at Langley High School!

The Tri-M is sponsoring the first ever Gingerbread House Competition of Langley Orchestra! Gather a group of friends or go solo and compete to see who can make the greatest gingerbread house! Friends and family are welcome, and prizes will be given out to the most impressive houses! The competition will be on Friday, December 1st, from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Langley Cafeteria, so make sure to show up and celebrate the holidays with the orchestra!
